BLUE EYE'S IN THE RAIN RABBITRY

The Blue-Eyed White Project was started by Emily Henry in the 

fall of 2003.  Emily was one of Cheryl's 4-H club members 

and took a liking to the BEWs.  So Cheryl and I helped her  

purchase some stock to get started with her program.  

In 2005, Theresa's daughters, Hailey & Cassidy, also 

became intersted in this unique color project.  

The three girls worked very hard together to try and 

improve the type on their original stock to get BEWs 

that are competitive on the show tables.  This was seen in 

Emily's BOSV win in early 2006 with her BEW buck, 

Emily's Polar.  In July, of 2006 though, Emily left the BEW 

project to Hailey and Cassidy as she left home to attend college 

in Bellingham, WA.  We wish Emily the best with her 

college work.  Hailey & Cassidy have continued with the 

project, but on a smaller scale without Emily as their mentor.
